Why Faculty of Medicine?: I chose the Faculty of Medicine because of the opportunities to work alongside leading health care researchers in an abundance of teaching hospitals that the University of Toronto has to offer.

Why this Department?: I chose RSI because of the tight-knit community that allows for a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As the #1 rehab program in the world, RSI provides me with the opportunities and resources to really engage in world-class research alongside a multi-faceted team of health professionals and scientists.

Current Research Experience: I'm currently conducting research for my Masters thesis at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital examining the use of cycling-based exercise video games, or exergames, for inpatient children with Cerebral Palsy following lower extremity orthopedic surgery. Before starting at UofT, I completed several undergraduate co-op terms working in a variety of research settings, such as 3D printing medical devices at a university in China, conducting biomechanics research at Wilfrid Laurier University, and working in the Clinical Epidemiology Program at The Ottawa Hospital.

Future Education Plans and/or Career Goals: My future career plans is to continue working in healthcare and clinical research!
