The caption under Denis Collier’s picture in his high school year book reads: “Future ambition: To have a career in fitness & nutrition”. To this end, he attended Memorial University of Newfoundland where he obtained a Bachelorof Science degree with a specialty in dietetics. He has been registered with the College of Dietitians of Ontario since 2002. In 2003 he obtained a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Lakehead University. It was also here where he earned the designation as a Certified Exercise Physiologist. In his private practice he has offered nutrition consulting services to organizations such as Hockey Canada’s national women’s developmental program and the athlete’s village 20of the Toronto Pan Am Games. But it was not until 2013 when he took up the family business: teaching. Mr. Collier’sfather, mother, brother and even his sister-in-law are all teachers. Since entering the classroom, hehas taught dozens of courses and over a thousand students at Humber College, the University of Guelph-Humber and the University of Toronto.
