Integrity in Graduate Research Workshop - Statistics Focus

statisticsstatistics The Office of the Vice-Dean, Graduate and Life Sciences Education at the Faculty of Medicine, in partnership with the Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH), Division of Biostatistics, is please to co-host the Integrity in Graduate Research Workshop - Statistics Focus on Friday March 18, 2016 from 1pm – 4:30pm.

This workshop is designed to expose graduate students in Medicine and Public Health to basic concepts in statistics and how data can be manipulated to produce incorrect or different results.  This workshop is not meant to teach students how and when to use specific statistical techniques. Rather, it is designed to provide you with adequate knowledge to critically think about statistical data presented in peer-review journals and other formats, inform you about the dos and don'ts in collecting and preparing data for your own research and use real-life examples to demonstrate how data can be manipulated to produce incorrect results.

How to Register

To register, please choose your ticket based on the faculty you are registered with (i.e. Faculty of Medicine or Dalla Lana School of Public Health).  As this is a joint event with a room capacity of 250, tickets are evenly split between the two faculties.  We encourage you to register as soon as possible.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, you can transfer your ticket to another student from the same or partnering faculty. 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
We will accept either an electronic or hard copy of your ticket at the registration table.
