Kyunga (Sally) Kim - Physiology

Kyunga KimMSc Candidate
Country of Origin: Seoul, South Korea
Pre-MSc Education: University of Toronto, Physiology Specialist

Current Research:
I am currently a Masters student in the Reproduction and Development platform in the Physiology department; my current research involves the mechanisms that lead to decline in reproduction seen with increasing maternal age, and the defects that occur as oocytes from aged mothers progress through to the pre-implantation embryo development stages.

Why Faculty of Medicine?
I chose to pursue studies in the Faculty of Medicine, because the courses the offer and the experience that I could earn here were the most relevant to what I found interesting, and what I wanted to study. It offered me courses in undergrad that I had the most fun learning, and I hoped that it would be the same with my grad career.

Future Education Plans and/or Career Goals:
In the future, I hope to continue education in life sciences and so that I may be able to apply knowledge I have gained as a health care professional/scientist.
