Aug 2, 2017

Do you want to be part of an impactful U of Toronto experience as a graduate school mentee or mentor? The GLSE team is excited to introduce the Graduate Mentorship Program for mentees in year 1 and 2 to be mentored by a PhD graduate student in years 3, 4, or 5 commencing this Fall 2017.  The program aims to give mentees an opportunity to appreciate the innovative research conducted in the Faculty of Medicine and a senior colleague’s perspective in graduate life, developing as a whole scientist and career preparation.   With this end in mind, we will be pairing graduates across the 14 different graduate programs offered in the Faculty of Medicine.

Who:
All Graduate Students at the Faculty of Medicine are encouraged to participate.
Graduate Mentee (Year 1, 2)
Graduate Mentor (Year 3, 4, 5)

How:
Students interested in participating for the event will be asked to register at glse.utoronto.ca. Upon registration, students will be prompted to list their research interests which will subsequently guide the pairing process conducted by the GLSE team.

Note:
Due to the exceeding number of applicants, we encourage students to apply early to secure their desired field. Moreover, we will be pairing students on a first-come, first-served basis

When:
The Grad Mentorship Program will take start in the Fall of 2017. The length and nature of the mentoring experience can range and must be agreed upon between the graduate mentee and mentor. The time schedule is also at the discretion of the mentor.
