Recent Research Experience: Research Engineer in Sunnybrook Research Institute, Toronto, ON, Canada

Current Research: My research involves the study of human brain function and physiology in neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease & Parkinson’s disease. The focus of my research is to develop novel neuroimaging biomarkers using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for early diagnosis of these disorders and characterizing their progression.   

Why Faculty of Medicine and Career Goals: My passion for healthcare has led me to pursue a career in research by becoming a leading researcher in the field of Medical Imaging. Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto has an outstanding reputation for providing opportunities to grow, learn and share ideas among students and scientists, as well as to collaborate with clinicians, and hence, is an ideal environment for understanding clinical needs and tackling novel research initiatives.
