Graduate Awards Information Sessions

Applying for graduate awards? Attend the SGS virtual info sessions! 

In these helpful SGS Information Sessions, you’ll learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply for a successful master’s and doctoral awards, including CIHR, NSERC, and OGS!  Sessions will be held virtually and offer an opportunity for students to ask questions at the end of each session. 

The next one will be about OGS, held on Thurs, November 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.  Sessions are recorded and slides and recordings are posted on the associated award pages.  More information below.

SGS Award Information Sessions for Students: Tri-Council (Vanier / CGS D / CGS M) and OGS

The School of Graduate Studies is holding Graduate Award Information sessions for students interested in applying for Federal and/or Provincial awards (to start award in 2022-23 academic year).

Information sessions presented by expert SGS award officers who will provide general program information including eligibility requirements and application process.

Sessions will also be recorded and made available at a later time.

CIHR Information Session for Trainees

Update: Now available!  PDF copy of the CIHR 2021 Information Session for Trainees in Health Research presentation that was held on September 7th, 8th and 9th, in both official languages: English and French.

CIHR offered a series of MS Teams live events to trainees and institution staff regarding award programs that are offered. They did an overview about relevant policies, tips for applicants, guidelines on how to submit an application and other relevant information.
